Call for Sounds: Soundcinema Düsseldorf 2025

Das Soundcinema Düsseldorf ist ein Recorded-Sound-Festival für experimentelle, elektronische und elektroakustische Musik und Klangkunst, dessen siebte Ausgabe am 02.10.2025 im FFT Düsseldorf stattfinden wird. Die Veranstaltung erstreckt sich über einen Abend, an dem zehn ausgewählte Einreichungen in einer akusmatischen Wahrmehmungssituation präsentiert und anschließend durch eine Fachjury und das Publikum prämiert werden. Dabei werden ein Preis pro Kategorie sowie ein Publikumspreis vergeben, jeweils dotiert mit 750€. Eingereicht werden können Stereo- und Mehrkanalproduktionen bis maximal 7.1. Gesucht werden musikalische Kompositionen, Klangcollagen, Klangexperimente, Soundscapes, narrative Audioformate oder technoide Produktionen, die sich durch einen transgressiven und futuristischen Impetus auszeichnen und den Versuch unternehmen, konventionelle Hörerfahrungen zu unterlaufen. Beiträge können entweder für die freie Kategorie oder für den diesjährigen Themenschwerpunkt „Webscapes“ eingereicht werden.

Call for Sounds: Soundcinema Düsseldorf 2025

Soundcinema Düsseldorf is a recorded sound festival for experimental, electronic and electroacoustic music and sound art that will take place on 02.10.2025 at FFT Düsseldorf. On the day of the event, a selection of ten audio productions, which have been carefully picked by a selection panel in advance, will be presented in an acousmatic environment. At the end of the evening, two jury awards and one audience award will be awarded, each endowed with 750€. It is possible to submit stereo and multi-channel productions up to a maximum of 7.1. We are looking for musical compositions, soundscapes, sound collages, sonic experiments, narrative audio formats and technoid productions that are characterized by a transgressive and futuristic impetus and attempt to undermine conventional listening experiences. Contributions can be submitted either for the free category or for this year’s thematic focus “Webscapes”.
