Codec Error For double bass, 2 percussionists and light 2017 This work is a composition including music, light and choreography. It examines the body of the performer and its representation in the digital age. The use of strobe lights and highly synchronized light patterns visualizes the performer on stage in a videoclip-like way. The continuity and presence of the players is subject to alterations and error-like manipulations that we know from a crashed computer program - digital mistakes. The theme of the composition picks up a trend of our times, in which body images, appearances become increasingly artificial and constructed. Everything is manipulated, virtual and edited all the time. The body is subject to digital manipulation, the entity is infringed. More information can be found here! Ircam made a short interview, in which I speak about the piece a bit.  Ensemble Intercontemporain made a short documentation during the rehearsal process. In BR U21 there's a review about the piece by Tim Saynisch. Terzwerk made a short radio feature about the piece (by Ida Hermes).  Most current performance is in Paris March 7th at Centre Pompidou.
