Influx is pleased to invite you to the 25th edition of L'Espace du Son and
the 10th edition of Métamorphoses, its international acousmatic
composition competition. For these two anniversaries, the program will
remain faithful to its acousmatic focus while featuring a host of
surprises.
L'Espace du Son opens
with the finale of the Metamorphoses composition contest, now a
must-see acousmatic competition, which will see the 8 finalists on
Influx acousmonium. The rest of the festival will be followed each
evening by four international composers: Benjamin Thigpen, João Pedro Oliveira, Adam Stanović and Andrew Lewis.
They play works from their personal repertoire and each also program a
carte blanche concert, another way to get to know them. Three master
classes, free entry mark the festival.
This edition stand out by a
live set of the duo Rust (Benjamin Thigpen and Jean-François Laporte),
after-concert in the bar. Rust's music is amazingly graphical and alive.
Two videomusic sessions by João Pedro Oliveira and Andrew Lewis are
also scheduled in the bar.
And
to close the festival: a concert of works composed in the Musiques
& Recherches's studios spatialised by the composers of confirmed
interpreters.
