View in browser Dear friends and music lovers,   Thank you for being with us at our last Kiezsalon weekend for 2024 at the Akademie der Künste and Villa Elisabeth.   Friday saw our first collaboration with KCMD, featuring 3 performers, 3 composers and DJs, joining us from Kyiv and Berlin. Then, on Saturday, we had our final Kiezsalon with breathtaking shows by Sheherazaad, Sofia Jernberg & Judith Hamann and Ben Glas.   We are grateful for your engaged and festive presence on both evenings. Revisit the weekend with our pictures. Finale Weekend: Impressions Looking back at KS24 Thank you for a huge year! This year's Kiezsalon took us on a tour around Berlin, we visited Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg, Oberschöneweide, Tiergarten and for the first time, Treptow-Köpenick. Across 8 venues, both large and small, we presented 60 artists, with almost 70% Berlin debuts. We hosted 13 Kiezsalons with 10 selling out, and also added several encore shows.   This year, we also teamed up with KCMD and IKLECTIK, producing collaborative concerts spotlighting Kyiv's and London's respective music scenes. Kiezsalon will be back early next year for our opening.   In the meantime, we are happy to recommend a few upcoming shows in Berlin over the next two weeks; multi-instrumentalist Eiko Ishibashi and filmmaker Ryūsuke Hamaguchis’ collaboration, Kiezsalon favourite Mabe Fratti and the vocal/music performance In Circulation.   Thank you for the memories. Mabe Fratti at silent green / 11.11 After her fulminant Kiezsalon debut in 2021, cellist Mabe Fratti returns to Berlin. Her sensibility is the triumph of experimentation over the technical dominion of an instrument. She explores sound through feelings, through existence itself, with an open heart, allowing herself to be transformed. 'In Circulation' at DAS MINSK / 22+23.11 This premiere performance, produced by Noah Slee and Dhanesh Jayaselan—known for their work with the award-winning collective A Song For You—features seven singers who seamlessly alternate between jazz, neo-soul, experimental electronic, and dance.
