Dear friends and music lovers,
After our brief yet delightful sojourn to Kunsthaus Dahlem for
August's Kiezsalon im Exil, we return to our beloved Musikbrauerei for
the penultimate show of the 2019 programme. But this is not the time to
reflect on another incredible year, there are still a wealth of artists
to enjoy, starting with the September line-up.
For the last decade 26-year-old Raoul Vignal has
been playing authentic, modern folk music. Soothing vocals and delicate
finger-picking played on alternate tunings are Vignal’s trademark.
Vignal’s latest album ‘Oak Leaf’ - released November ’18 via Talitres -
is a mature and orchestrated full-length excursion into austere autumnal
beauty. At Kiezsalon Vignal will perform as a trio.
Berlin-based duo G.A.M.S. is a collaboration between restless drummer and percussionist Andi Stecher and maverick multi-instrumentalist Guido Möbius.
Stecher drives his way through waves of Möbius’s analog feedback, which
fluctuates across the full spectrum of frequencies from pumping bass to
the highest tones. The result is an energetic and engaging ensemble of
polyrhythmic structures.
Tasho Ishi is a sound designer & advertisement
critic currently working for a major record label in his native Japan.
He debuted as BRF in 2016 with ‘BRF-KU’ EP and he is active under the
same moniker in the Japanese fashion market as a runway music curator.
Earlier this summer, Tasho Ishi’s debut album ‘Dentsu2060’ was released
on Lorenzo Senni’s Presto!? imprint.
