­ Dear friends and music lovers, We are looking forward to the 2nd of our Digital in Berlin x galerie weisser elefant sessions. After a successful 1st edition, this time we are happy to present Judith Hamann and Lottie Sebes Saturday, 24 September. ­ ­ Judith Hamann is a cellist and performer/composer from Naarm/Birraranga (Melbourne), Australia, now based in Berlin. Judith’s performance practice stretches across various genres encompassing elements of improvised, contemporary classical, experimental, and popular music. Listen to her piece A Coffin Spray, which Hamann will perform on the night. Lottie Sebes’ Veritas Ventriloquist is a performance and sound work, at the core of which is the Veritas Machine – a noisy, dynamic, woman-machine interface made of dismantled and reforged sewing machines, re-envisioned as an instrument and vocal synthesiser. Watch this teaser for Veritas Ventriloquist. ­ Book your free ticket ­ ­ We are also happy to present 2 festivals over the weekend.   The Studio for Electroacoustic Music at the Akademie der Künste is hosting the KONTAKTE Festival for the 4th time. The programme includes premieres, revivals and a diverse range of performances, offering a spectrum of current artistic trends and developments in the fields of electroacoustic music and sound art. For 4 days, the entire Akademie building on Hanseatenweg is transformed through concerts, performances and installations. ­ ­ Meanwhile, only 4 U9 stops away, the 3rd edition of Future Soundscapes Festival is taking place at silent green. Over 4 evenings, numerous artists from the fields of music, media art and sound art take us on a journey through the history and present of futuristic sound.   The festival features shows from several artists including Kiezsalon alumni such as Bendik Giske, Carmen Villain, Perila, & much more. ­ ­ Last but not least, make sure to save your ticket for our final Kiezsalon of the year on Saturday, 8 October.
