View in browser Dear friends and music lovers, Thank you for attending our sold-out open-air Kiezsalon at the Brücke-Museum last month. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. You will find a selection of impressions here.   On Saturday, 26 August, we are excited to return to MaHallawith 3 performances by Penelope Trappes, a UK-based vocalist and ambient musician from Australia, Polish computer musician Marcin Pietruszewski as well as cellist and composer Justin Wright from Montreal. The repurposed factory MaHalla has been the setting for Kiezsalon events over the past two years, and we’re delighted to return to the iconic industrial location once again.   The vast turbine space located in Oberschöneweide in the district of Treptow-Köpenick, the city’s historic industrial zone, became the inspiration for Fritz Lang’s iconic masterpiece Metropolis. Here are some pictures from last year. ­ Book your Ticket ­ This month we are also glad to present two festivals in Berlin. On 10-12 August catch A L’ARME! Vol. X+I at Radialsystem, featuring a variety of protagonists across Jazz and beyond.    Starting 18 August is the Akademie der Künste's festival Time to Listen: The Ecological Crisis in Sound and Music, bringing together international artists who use music to respond to issues engendered by climate change.
