After the memorable inaugural Berlin-Budapest Express, we are excited to announce the lineup for the upcoming autumn edition in just 5 weeks.

On 15-16 September, we will host Catalan vocalist Marina Herlop, London-based electronic music producer Beatrice Dillon, Slovenian folk trio Širom, American voice artist Holland Andrews, plus a selection of local artists.

The conservatory-trained composer Marina Herlop creates music driven by her remarkable voice. Sidestepping her classical background towards a more cybernetic aspect of music, on her third album Pripyat, released on PAN, she “creates an immersive and at times thrilling world out of piano, electronics, and her remarkably agile voice” — Pitchfork.

Beatrice Dillon is a producer, DJ, and composer. Her work is influenced by electro-acoustic music, avant-garde jazz, dub, and minimalism. Workaround, Beatrice's solo debut album was described by The Guardian as “effervescent, full of swing and full of heart” and given a 5-star review.

The intertwining of diverse musical approaches and tools, histories of sounds and unbridled musical imagination is the expansive guiding principle of the Slovenian trio Širom. They “...create folk music from imaginary places... minimalist, ritualistic, ceremonial and never dull” writes The Quietus.

New York-based vocalist and composer Holland Andrews' work focuses on the abstraction of operatic voice to build soundscapes encompassing both catharsis and dissonance. We are excited to host Holland’s debut in Budapest after their awe-inspiring performance at our final Kiezsalon of 2022. A weekend ticket is just 21 euros.
