We warmly welcome you to the next exhibition at Errant Sound, opening on February 23rd at 6 pm! The Sound Art-exhibition "radiant flux" presents three works by Janine Eisenächer, Verena Lercher and Gerriet K. Sharma that make tangible the material-sonic microstructures and transformations of different kinds of frozen water. Opening: Thursday, 23.02.2023, 6 pm Exhibition: Friday to Sunday, 24.02. - 26.02., 5 to 8 pm Thursday to Saturday, 02.03. - 04.03., 5 to 8 pm The sculptural multichannel-sound composition "melt" (2009) by Gerriet K. Sharma uses the process of melting, changing from solid to liquid, as a paradigm for its overall form and the state of concentrated listening. The whole sonic material was developed from a single track of recorded melting ice. https://www.gksh.net/ In Verena Lercher's audiovisual sonic sculpture "dIAlogues" (2023) an artificial voice is processed live through slowly melting ice. Microscopic constellations between voice and space arise that are live-recorded and played back through headphones. The audience observes an audiovisual process of transformation that blurrs clichés of the real and virtual on different timelines. https://www.verenalercher.com/ With "MOVING through/with SOUND Pt. 2 Skiing" (2023), Janine Eisenächer continues her cycle on the acoustic and auditory interdependencies between one's own bodily movement/ locomotion, the perception of the environment and their miking/ recording. In the 4-channel sound installation she condenses the manifold sounds of snow and skiing, which were recorded with a Zoom recorder fixed to her leg, to a 'sonic relationscape'. http://janine-eisenaecher.de/ |
