FWD - Season's Greetings | Exciting projects lined up for 2021

Satantango

Dear friends and music lovers,

Wishing you good health and some comfort as we draw close to the end of the year, and we bring you exciting news about some projects for 2021.

Firstly, we are happy to have received our first ever Hauptstadtkulturfonds grant. This means we can present the magnum opus of one of the most important directors of auteur Cinema, with a live reimagination of the original musical score, in the dystopian halls of an iconic Berlin club. More to follow soon.

Hydroacoustics

We are also very happy with our second new project Hydroacousticsat the historical water towers of Prenzlauer Berg. Thanks to the Musikfonds, we can share with you a festival weekend dedicated to reverb, specifically designed for this unique acoustic setting.

Also, in early 2021 we hope to at least present our Kiezsalon 2020 finale, with Kazakh/British violinist Galya Bisengalieva and Norwegian/Mexican ambient composer Carmen Villain. We will announce the new date when culture events resume and a new date can be finalised.

Our last Kiezsalon with the record release of Colombian musician Lucrecia Dalt, and the Berlin debut from her Latvian RVNG Intl. label-mate Sign Libra.

The Kiezsalon series will continue in 2021 thanks to the continuing support of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe, having secured four years' funding last year.

The new season will begin in March, all things going well. Alongside our homebase Musikbrauerei and our summer residence Kunsthaus Dahlem, we are excited to be hosting two new outdoor venues.

Stay safe and healthy, and hopefully, we will see you next year, with announcements of our full 2021 programme.
