Best wishes, Ute photo montage: Mazen Kerbaj 16.11.23  20:00  Exploratorium Berlin Imp[or]trait #11 Transformationen der Stimme Improvisation in imaginären Habitats Moderation: Mathias Maschat My voice oscillates between electronic, inorganic, human and animal sound qualities. It sings with bird whistles and field recordings. It vibrates in objects, self-invented instruments and acoustic costumes. It is a hybrid, a chimera, a cyborg. As a guest of Mathias Maschat in the imp[or]trait series, I will  present my vocal practice and discuss  my ideas of an ecological approach towards improvisation. 18.11.23 19:00 DAAD Galerie Berlin A long Good Bye revisitations Mazen Kerbaj: trumpet, crackle synth, amplified objects Ute Wassermann: voice, bird whistles, objects, electronics revisitations was commissioned by Savyy Contemporary/MaerzMusik in 2021 as part of the Halim El Dabh Invocations. A table between the two performers serves as a huge game board with numerous extensions of the voice and trumpet, such as (everyday) objects, whistles, tubes or electronics. The performance by Mazen Kerbaj and Ute Wassermann unfolds in a temporal structure that is precise and open at the same time.
