My Uncle doesn’t have a bank account (2017)
für 3 Performer
My
uncle doesn’t have a bank account is a quadraphonic work based on
transformation of two similar musical textures, one being pre recorded,
and the other performed live by the musicians on stage. Gradually the
electronics get overtaken, and integrated with the live playing,
shifting the sound from the spatialized to the front aural perspective,
which now is combined with the visual aspect of the corporality of the
musicians.

Commitment :: Ritual I :: BiiM
Commitment
:: Ritual I :: BiiM is a piece part of the ritual series that Jessie
Marino composes around pop culture. Minimmal, concise and with few media
devices, Ritual I explores the rhythmical sense of a pop song, with a
clever sense of humor and absurdity at the same time.
Jessie Marino is a composer/performer/media artist from Long Island, New
York. Her current work explores the virtuosity of common activities,
ritualistic absurdity, and the archeology of recent media. Her pieces
rigorously score out sound, physical movements, lighting and staging and
place them within highly organized time structures and musical formats.

Dré Hočevar
- Verso Doxa _ re: Where improvisation comes from? 1.1 (2018)
(for biotic and artificial intelligence)
Defining,
momentarily destabilizing and recontextualizing parametric liminalities
of a particular set of real-time generative protocols is one of the
central axes of objectives in the series of works devoted to the
deepening of the understanding of the current thresholds of human
interactivity and synchronization. Agents are given a system of
perceptual protocols with which they engage in the materialization of
sound phenomena related to the interaction logics explicated by the
particular protocol of this piece. The core objective is to close the
gap in the neural circuit of an agent and translate the processed
external sense-perception derived data to the output of new sonic
phenomena instantly and without of significant lag, due to optimized
instinctive prediction and synchronization behavior of individual
agents. The result is a self-generative grid-formation which enables the
agents to operate with an instant calibration of the fundamental
properties of a given sonic object or a larger meta-structural
environment. This potentially grants individual agents a relatively
higher quality of experience while expanding the spectrum of sound
synthesis possibilities per unit of time.
