COMPOSITIONS
Over the course of the last year I have spent some serious time on composing. My latest project are the floating compositions in which I work with sounds similar to the world of analog electronics while experimenting with open forms.
Pieces I have written in the last year:

EXPERIMENTAL OPERA: PERSONA NON GRATA
In April 2016 I got the chance to compose and direct a piece for tape and musical actors at Cloud City in New York City
Persona non grata, inspired by William S. Burroughs's song "Spare Ass Annie," explores different body concepts of the western world. The play emerges from texts by the Austrian writers Elfriede Jelinek and Thomas Bernhard or the philosophers Arthur Schopenhauer and Wittgenstein. At the intersection of music text and movement the piece plays with various layers of how we understand our body, our mind, and if wholeness is possible.
Cast: Suzy Kohane, Ben Lewis, Eric Powell Holm, and Anna Reichert
Producer: Ben Lewis

JANE - MY PERFORMANCE ALTER EGO
May I introduce Jane? Jane is a drag queen and she sometimes works for me as my performance alter ego. This summer she performed in the street hooker area in Berlin during the festival organo vino, as well as at the festival nano#zwei in Essen. WIth Jane I scrutinize the role of the (female) performer in music world and the question if a musician assumes a role as soon as he enters stage. Right now I am developing on a theatrical concert night that incorporates these questions.
DUO KRAHL-MOIR
Recently me and the experimental Swedish-Australian singer Casey Moir have started to play together. Our work concentrates on those sound fields were both soundsources, the cello and the voice become indistiguishable. First recordings are going to be online soon.
RABIATOR
In 2015 me and the composer Juan Felipe Waller have founded the duo for analog electronic music RABIATOR. RABIATORS world is limited and uncontrollable. With handmade devices we create an environment with unpredictable features, where creative malfunctionary circuits unite with sounding objects from the real world.
In collaboration with the duo WIderstand we premiered the concert installation funkloch+  in Berlin. In December this year we will perform a live score for a documentary by Klaus Betzl in Essen, and in spring 2017 we will be in California at Montalvo Residency for a month.

ZEITKRATZER
Since last year I got the opportunity to play several projects with Zeitkratzer. Recents project have been a collaboration with the visual artist Jorinde Voigt at Klangspuren Festival Austria, and collaborations with Keiji Haino as well as Terre Theamlitz at Sound Live Festival Tokyo or concerts at Sacrum Profanum in Krakow - Poland.
I am quite excited to also being part of the Zeitkratzer project PLAY! a collaboration with the performance Group She She POP in 2016/17
