| | Dear friends and music lovers, After our tour of the venues for this year’s Kiezsalon series, we are now happy to present our artist programme for 2021. For the season opening, we begin with four open air concerts at the Gärten der Welt. We are thrilled to present computer musician Jessica Ekomane, the evocative landscapes of Hamburg-based sound artist Rosaceae, Swedish Saxophonist Otis Sandsjö, and the anomalous accordion music of Vienna-based singer-songwriter Alicia Edelweiss. |

| | | For our second Kiezsalon at Berlin-Mitte’s Bärenzwinger, we have invited Liam Byrne for a viola da gamba concert, American percussionist and composer Robyn Schulkowsky, plus the Berlin premiere of Dutch minimalist and lute player Jozef van Wissem. |

| | | The first of two Kiezsalons in August is the rescheduled evening from last year, featuring Kazakh/British violinist Galya Bisengalieva and Norwegian-Mexican ambient composer Carmen Villain, performing at Villa Elisabeth. We are also happy to tell you that we have added Berlin-based composer and sound artist Maya Shenfeld to the lineup. Tickets for the originally scheduled Kiezsalon are still valid. |

| | | For our second August Kiezsalon, we present the Berlin debut of Amanar, with his contemporary version of classic Malian Tuareg guitar music, as well as Serge Modular synthesizer mastermind Thomas Ankersmit, introduces site specific works at MaHalla. |

| | | In September at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, we present the album premiere of Subtext label founder and one half of Emptyset, James Ginzburg, as well as the album release for evocative St. Petersburg-born sound artist Perila, and the Berlin premiere of Venezuelan-born producer Molero. |

| | | In October, Kiezsalon returns to Musikbrauerei, where we present the collaborative project between electronic musician and saxophonist Lea Bertucci and experimental vocalist Amirtha Kidambi, and Mexico City based cello-based performer Mabe Fratti. |

| | | Finally, in November for our Kiezsalon 2021 finale, we have invited Swedish singer and organist Anna von Hausswolff. Von Hausswolff plays our Kiezsalon special as part of her ambitious solo pipe tour across Europe, what she calls a "great experiment", with 17 unique organs for 17 unique concerts in 17 unique venues. Kiezsalon brings her to Berlin’s historic, impressive 5000+ pipe organ at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche. |
